The Journey Insights page is your personal dashboard for discovering fascinating patterns, statistics, and achievements based on your tracked location data. It transforms your raw GPS data into a compelling story of your travels and daily life.

Accessing Journey Insights​

You can find the Journey Insights page in the main navigation menu of the application.

Features​

The page is divided into several sections, each offering a unique perspective on your journeys.

Geographic Adventures​

This section visualizes the geographic scope of your travels.

  • Countries Explored: See a count of all the countries you've visited. The list displays each country's flag and name.
  • Cities Visited: Discover how many cities you've been to. Each city in the list is shown with its name and the number of times you've visited it.

Your Travel Story​

Dive into the statistics of your travel distances.

  • Total Distance Traveled: Your overall distance covered across all modes of transport. It's accompanied by a fun, motivational phrase that puts the distance into perspective.
  • Distance by Car: The total distance you've traveled by car, shown as a value and as a percentage of your total travel.
  • Distance Walking: The total distance you've covered on foot, also shown as a value and as a percentage of your total travel.

Time Patterns​

Uncover the temporal patterns of your activity.

  • Most Active Month Ever: Highlights the calendar month where you were most active.
  • Current Month Performance: Compares your activity in the current month to the previous one.
  • Busiest Day of Week: Shows which day of the week you are typically most active.
  • Most Active Time of Day: Reveals the time of day you are usually on the move.

Your Journey Milestones​

This section is all about your achievements. You can track your progress towards earning various badges.

  • Progress: A summary of how many available badges you have earned.
  • Badges: A collection of all possible achievements. Each badge has:
    • An icon, title, and description.
    • A progress bar showing how close you are to earning it (if not yet earned).
    • An "Earned!" label and the date of achievement (if earned).

Achievement Calculation: Non-completed achievements are re-calculated every 30 minutes. All achievements are calculated from scratch when new data is imported via the Import page or during Timeline Regeneration.

  • Border Crosser (🌐): Visit 2+ countries.
  • Country Collector (✈️): Visit 5+ countries.
  • International Explorer (🗺️): Visit 10+ countries.
  • Passport Veteran (📔): Visit 20+ countries.
  • World Citizen (🌏): Visit 50+ countries.

City-related Badges:

  • City Starter (🏙️): Visit 3+ cities.
  • Globe Trotter (🌍): Visit 10+ cities.
  • World Explorer (🧭): Visit 20+ cities.
  • Urban Nomad (🏛️): Visit 50+ cities.
  • City Collector (🌆): Visit 100+ cities.
  • Metropolis Conqueror (🌃): Visit 200+ cities.

Total Distance Badges:

  • Road Warrior (🚗): Travel 1,000+ km total.
  • Continental Cruiser (🌏): Travel 10,000+ km total.
  • Transcontinental Traveler (🌎): Travel 50,000+ km total.
  • Global Nomad (✈️): Travel 100,000+ km total.
  • Planet Circler (🛰️): Travel 500,000+ km total.
  • Million Mile Master (🚀): Travel 1,000,000+ km total.

Single Trip Distance Badges:

  • Marathon Runner (🏃‍♂️): Complete a trip of 42+ km.
  • Century Rider (💯): Complete a trip of 100+ km.
  • Long Distance (🛣️): Travelled 500km in a single trip.

Consecutive Trip Days Badges:

  • Daily Habit Starter (📅): Travel every day for 10 consecutive days.
  • Daily Habit Adept (📆): Travel every day for 30 consecutive days.
  • Daily Habit Master (🗓️): Travel every day for 60 consecutive days.
  • Daily Habit Champion (🏆): Travel every day for 120 consecutive days.
  • Daily Habit Legend (👑): Travel every day for 365 consecutive days.

Time of Day Badges:

  • Early Bird (🌅): Start a trip before 6:00 AM.
  • Night Owl (🦉): Start a trip after 10:00 PM.
  • Midnight Move (🌙): Start a trip between midnight and 5:00 AM.

Speed Badges:

  • Speed Deamon (🏎️): Max speed of 150 km/h.
  • Lightning Fast (⚡): Max speed of 200 km/h.

Other Badges:

  • Busy Bee (🐝): Take 50 trips within one month.
  • Daily Driver (🚙): Travel 50+ km in a single day.
  • First Month Complete! (🎉): Successfully tracked for 30 days.
  • First Steps (👣): Complete your first trip (≥1 km).
  • Local Explorer (🏠️): Discover 25 places in your area.
  • Local Legend (🏆): Visit the same place 10 times.
  • Long Hauler (🚛): Complete a trip lasting 4+ hours.
  • Week Streak (⏰): Track trips for 7 consecutive days.
